An engine part number needs to be changed as part of a modification.
Changing the part number manually on the Aircraft Configuration Status will result in the associated Tasks and Publications importing into the Aircraft Status again based on the new Part Number / Serial Number combination.
These will need to have their “Effectivity” set accordingly. The original Tasks and Publications associated with the original engine part number will also need to be removed.
This results in a lot of additional time and effort.
Following the process as defined below will achieve the required result in the most effective manner.
