| 2 | Administrator Module - Importers | Data Importer |
On the screen you make your selection as to what data you are using from the defaults in the system and what data you will import from your spread sheet. The selections made determine the columns required for the import spread sheet and changes the template that is produced accordingly. You can also automatically append the imported Tasks to an existing AMS via the drop down combo. This adds an additional column in order that you can assign the relevant Inspection Groups for the Tasks within the AMS. Note: You can select to automatically approve the Task Cards as part of the import by setting the "Approved" tick box. This will allow the imported Tasks to import into the Maintenance Status of the applicable aircraft. If this is not done as part of the Task Card import then you will need to revisit each Task in Aerotrac and manually approve. This option may be considered as a review process following the importing of Tasks prior to importing into Maintenance Status. |

Once all selections are made, create your Import Template via the “Task Card Template” button. Note; If you change your selections on the screen then you will need to produce a new template otherwise the columns in the spread sheet will be wrong and the import will fail. |

Populate the Template. The columns highlighted in blue are those for the Task Cards Header and Application and Compliance fields. The columns highlighted in yellow are those for the Task Details lines. Use the Aerotrac Import screen and the Task Card screen, within the main Aerotrac A/C System of Maintenance, to guide you with the data required to be entered. The data entered into the fields should be exactly how it appears in your Aerotrac database. For example, the Compliance Code and Interval need to be exactly how they are set in Aerotrac itself, on the Task Card screen. These are a few examples only. Failure to enter the data correctly will result in the import file not being validated. Save your Import file. |
